While the lack of retail establishments, schools or hospitals located directly in the neighbourhood means that nearly all errands will require a car, its interconnected trail systems  makes it the perfect neighbourhood for dog and family walks to the park, and areas to bike away from traffic.

History:

Located adjacent to the historic Battleford Trail, which travelled directly through this neighbourhood, the trail is a provincial heritage site which consists of 190 mile long transportation and communications link between the settlements of Swift Current and the Battlefords located in north-central Saskatchewan. Just a short walk/drive away lies the Municipal Heritage Property known as the Battleford Trail Wheel Rut Area, which showcases two deep, parallel ruts made from Red River Cart and wagon wheels that showcases the heavy traffic in trade and supplies that existed between the two communities.

The Trail neighbourhood also holds the Swift Current Museum where you can learn more about Swift Current’s history, view travelling and temporary exhibits, and take part in programming for all ages.
